A low canopy, multi-stemmed deciduous tree with a rounded spreading shape. Striking lavender pink flowers bloom along the branches in early spring before the medium green oval leaves emerge. After flowering, is the best time to prune. A medium rate grower prefers average to moist growing conditions and should not be allowed to dry out. Thick mulch around the root zone during the winter months is recommended. Deer resistant.
